Progress of What Isn't There
There to warm the hearts of others
But I stand a cold shell
Guide the others to heaven
Destined to live in my hell
Through my guiding hand
Relinquish past sins of hate
My light shines bright for you
But blessed I'm not in this twisted fate
A shoulder to cry on, for one and all
Beacon of hope in the jet-black rain
I'll gladly heal your wounds
In return to live in my pain
Souls recovered through my wisdom
Regulate your lost life
Pull you from the void, the hated dark
Banish the fear and strife
I'll hand you down your salvation
I'll protect your cause, your being
Just so you can forget it later
Like I'm not among the living
Spawning your hope and joy
Your well being before my own
I'll play God, give you your smile
Cause there's no proof of mine shown
Play into your broken hands
While I hold out my open arms for you to take
Again I offer you innocent hope
That I gave up for your sake
Waste my time if you will
For your benefit
Now I offer you my soul, my heart
With no loss or regret
I'll play you the symphony of angels
For your dark, enshrouded mind
Let you see true once more
No more will you wander blind
I'll warm you with what's left
Of my shattered, broken heart
But once the cold is gone
I know you'll let me fall apart
Once you've seen heaven's true light
After I've given you all I could
To better your life and see you happy
I'll stay in the dark where I should
What do you need in return?
The one question I've never heard
Forget my blessings, forget this angel
No thanks required, no words
I don't exist yet my motions make difference
Nobody sees me, but what I've done
Some people call me an angel
Some call me a memory
Of what once was
And what used to be
What am I?
Someonce please tell me...
Will there be another angel soon?
To find my suffering, to set me free?
Regardless of my label
I'll continue to shine out for them
Show them love, light, and hope
At the expense of being forgotten
